Major reforms to the AML/CTF Act mean that existing Tranche 1 entities will need to review and update their systems and processes by 31 March 2026. If you're not sure where to start, consider these 3 steps.
The list of designated services has expanded. Review if you are providing any additional services.
You will need to update your AML/CTF Program, including your ML/TF Risk Assessment, to bring it in line with the new requirements.
All client-facing staff need refresher training on the new requirements. Some may also require additional personnel due diligence checks.
