Appointments - Wholesale
This bundle includes policies and tools to assist AFS licensees with appointing and terminating (or 'offboarding') representatives. It covers employees, individual authorised representatives, corporate authorised representatives, financial advisers, responsible managers and key persons. It is designed to meet regulatory obligations in a range of areas.
For appointing representatives, these areas include reference checking and other due diligence requirements, authorising representatives, notifying ASIC, providing references under ASIC’s Reference Checking Protocol, and associated record keeping requirements, as well as a fit and proper declaration.
For offboarding representatives, these areas include revoking authorisations, notifying ASIC, notifying clients, conducting exit reviews, and associated record keeping and record access requirements. The tools provided include checklists, appointment and revocation forms, and reference checking forms.
Note: The Representatives - Appointing, Reference Checking and Reference Giving Policy will require further updates made to it relating to the Protocol, in early 2025.
